COMPUTER TYPES ON THE BASIS OF WORK AND SIZE

TODAY WE WILL LEARN TYPES OF COMPUTER

A. ON THE BASIS OF WORK

there are three types of computer on the basis of WORK.

1. DIGITAL COMPUTER- this is based on calculation and logical operation. its totaly works on number system . it has discript nature(on off).  work in digit 0 and 1.

2. ANALOG COMPUTER- this type of computer use in moter car's speed meter and fuel meter.
it has continue nature(decrease and increase).

3. HYBRID COMPUTER- DIGITAL + ANALOG COMPUTER.
it use in hospital and new cars .it works on digit and analysis .

B. ON THE BASIS OF SIZE

there are four types on the basis of size.

1. SUPER COMPUTER.

SUPER COMPUER speed is very high and it has high memory . they work multiprocessing and parallel processing. this is fastest , biggest and most expensive computer.
WORLDS 1st super computer is CRAY-1 invented by simer cray.
INDIA'S 1st super computer is PARAM and in latest is PARAM YUVA-2 (speed 524teraflops)
WORLD'S FAST super computer is TIANHE (speed 33.86 petaflops)

2. MAINFRAME COMPUTER.

It has high speed and high memory but not powerfull as super computer.
it is basic useful server site computer . millions of user can use .
it use in industry , census , statical etc

3. MINI COMPUTER.

multy user can use this (4 to 200)
its small in size , faster and cost lower.

4. MICRO COMPUTER.

its called PC personal computer. its work on a micro processer chip use in CPU . so it is called micro computer.
